Amy and Jesse’s Otterville fall engagement was everything you hope a crisp October evening will be. Golden light, vibrant autumn colour, and two high school sweethearts counting down the days until they say “I do” at Otter Creek Golf Club next September!
These two have been together since high school, which makes their love story feel extra special. There is such an ease between them. The laughter comes naturally. The way they settle into each other feels comfortable and steady, like they have already walked through so much life side by side.
A Crisp October Evening in Otterville
We met on the most beautiful October day. The trees were bursting with rich fall tones, and the air had that cool edge that makes you want to soak up every second of the season. It was mild but just crisp enough to feel refreshing, and the golden sunset that evening truly showed off.
Their vibe was fun, relaxed, and completely celebratory. You can tell they are so excited for this next chapter together. Every smile felt genuine. Every in between moment felt effortless. This Otterville fall engagement session was the perfect reflection of who they are.
Dunn’s Christmas Trees and Copper
The second half of their Otterville engagement session took place somewhere incredibly meaningful. We headed to Jesse’s family Christmas tree farm, Dunn’s Christmas Trees in Springford, just outside of town. This land holds so much history for them, and incorporating it into their engagement photos made the whole experience feel deeply personal.
It was also a full circle moment for me. My family bought our Christmas trees from the Dunn family for years, and I went to high school with Jesse’s brother, who actually recommended me to them. Photographing Amy and Jesse there felt extra special.
And of course, their golden retriever Copper joined us for part of the session. He is their baby, and having him run through the trees and cuddle up between them made everything feel even more “them.”
I also loved helping Amy with outfit planning beforehand. Choosing tones that complemented the fall colours and the deep greens of the trees made such a difference and pulled everything together beautifully.
If this engagement session is any indication, their Otter Creek Golf Club wedding next September is going to be absolutely incredible. I cannot wait to celebrate alongside these two as they step into married life together 🤍✨
